Welcome to Lençóis!

Reception at the airport. Transfer to the Pousada (type of hotel in Portuguese).

After lunch we will walk around the city, where you will have the opportunity to know a little bit of the history, architecture and trivia of this nice city, famous for the diamond mining in the 19th century. We will also visit the mining museum, where Mister Cori, an old and well-known former miner in the region, will show you the techniques and history of the gold mining era.

Day 2 – PRIMAVERA WATERFALL AND SERRANO HIKE

In the morning we will hike at Lençóis River, starting with a visit to Serrano and its cauldrons, the salon with colored sands, the Spring waterfall, Cachoeirinha and a beautiful view of the Lençóis belvedere.  Back to the city for lunch and free time.

Day 3 – THE LAPA DOCE CAVE, PRATINHA AND THE MORRO DO PAI INÁCIO

This is the day you see the famous caves of Iraquara, known in the region as the city of caves.

This tour is mostly by car, with short hikes. In the morning we follow towards the Grotto of Lapa Doce. With a local guide, we will visit the beautiful formations of stalactites, stalagmites, speleothems and the columns inside. After these activities, stop for lunch (typical food) before going to the Pratinha Farm, ideal for swimming in the clear waters and we visit the Blue Grotto. The site offers optional tours such as: floating inside the cave and zip lining.

In the late afternoon, we go to the Pai Inácio Hill (20 minute hike), where we will admire one of the most famous views of Chapada Diamantina.

Day 4 – THE FUMAÇA WATERFALL

A day to see the highest waterfall in Brazil, the Smokey Falls (400 meters high), we leave by car in the morning towards the Capao Valley, where we will start a 6 km hike (2 Km uphill hike, followed by 4 Km on flat lands) to the top of the waterfall. Along the way, you will pass by dazzling views of the region with its mountains and canyons. We will stop for lunch before we return by the same way back to the car. Before returning to Lençóis, we will visit the Riachinho waterfall for swimming.

Day 5 – THE MARIMBUS SWAMPLANDS

Departure 8:30 am. On this trip you will see a whole new scenario of everything we’ve seen up to here. From Remanso, a small fishing village (30 minute drive from Lençóis), we will take you for a boat trip along the Santo Antonio River, which it is an area of ​​environmental protection, leading us to the Roncador River and its many cascades. There we will have lunch and free time at the waterfall. In the afternoon, we will head back to the Lençóis village by jeep.

Day 6 –THE SOSSEGO WATERFALL

Departure at 8:30, to visit the Sossego Waterfall. This is an ideal trail for those who love difficult levels of hiking, with excellent natural pools along the way to cool you off. Over 7 km, we will pass by old mining areas and by riverbanks, with a privileged view of the mountains and vegetation along the way to the falls. After a free time for bathing and a snack, we will visit the Ribeirao do Meio, famous for its natural waterslide. Return to Lencois around 17: 00.

Day 7 – THE IGATU VILLAGE AND POÇO AZUL (BLUE POOL).

The tour starts at Igatu village known for its special architecture made with blocks of rock, which is very abundant in the region, and due to the diamond mining. In the morning we will visit the art gallery of Igatu and the ruins of the ancient city.

After Igatu, we go to the Blue Well, where we will float inside the cave, followed by a well-deserved lunch of typical food.

Transfer to the Lençóis Airport / or Bus Station
